A Welcome Respot

Saturday, November 7, 2009
Tonight I did something I really should do more often. I remembered how much I love spending goof off time with my children. How much I love hearing their laughter. How wonderful it is to watch them as they run around in circles for no apparent reason. How is doesn't matter if I want to write in fragments....

When I read Kip's blog (which is probably more than he realizes) he always reminds me that this is a one way rodeo and I should kiss them more. I actually kiss them a bunch. I actually dread the day when they will shun my affection because it embarrasses them. The good news is that they will grow out of that as well.

Tonight I observed that my daughter's vocal talent is progressing at a lightning pace and my son will probably either be on Dancing with the Stars or play middle linebacker for the Steelers (either way I am okay with that ). All good stuff. I am of course schooling them in the musical classics: Nat King Cole, the Drifters, Johnny Cash, Andrea Bocelli, and (of course) The Piano Man himself. However, hearing your daughter sing "No More Kings" from Schoolhouse Rock is also tops!

Not a usual post, but hey, even capitalist pig infidels have moments of human weakness.
